Around 2 months ago, the hunter Branch of Cancer Council NSW, nominated the HCW Committee for a NSW Volunteer Of The Year Award in the Teams Division. At a presentation Ceremony held at Newcastle Souths Rugby league Club on Tuesday September 12, the HCW Committee were awarded the Hunter Region Teams Division NSW Volunteer Of The Year Award. A big thank you must go to all the previous participants, fund raisers and helpers that have brought this about and hopefully will continue to support the 2018 - and 12th running, of the event with an event better fundraising performnce.
